Boost Daddy is the result of over 25 years of being a hard core performance nut case. Early on I was working in a Ford dealership under the tutelage of Randy Richey. He is the son of legendary Ford racer Les Ritchey. After that I was hanging around the boat shop. They had a dyno there, and I found my self working on the weekends. This was a great education. This is where the fuel demands and loads of a marine engines really came to light. After that, there was Weiand Automotive. After a few years Weiand was purchased by Holley Performance Products. Holley offered a position to me, but I was not willing to relocate. This is when I went to work for B & M Automotive. Don & Bob Sparr made room for me when there was no opening. They said "When we find good people we grab them." That philosophy is the reason B & M is so successful in my opinion. After only 6 months Holley Performance purchased the Supercharger division of B & M. That was ok with me. All the time I was working at B & M during the day, I was also working at night starting The Blower Shop with it's founder and ex-Weiand employee Ron Hayes. Ron & I hit the ground running. The Blower Shop was up and running. Having knowledge of the contacts from the previous 2 Supercharger companies, I started calling on them. I knew that those people were not going to get thier parts from Holley any time soon. We built the company with superior product knowledge and superior customer service, and of course long hours and hard work. While at The Blower Shop I was able to develope and test products for some magazines like Hot Rod, Chevy Hi-Performance, Hot Boat, Famiy & Performance Boating, Chevy Rumble & Powerboat to name a few. Man that was some fun stuff!
